Ziyaad Sarang

Ziyaad Sarang is Chief Investment Officer of Revego Fund Managers, investment manager of the Revego Africa Energy Fund. A Chartered Accountant (SA) with more than 25 years’ experience in infrastructure and renewable energy, he has led, structured and advised on complex power, infrastructure and mining transactions across Africa. His experience spans project and structured finance, mergers and acquisitions, public-private partnerships and investment in operational renewable energy assets. At Revego, Ziyaad focuses on expanding institutional investment in Africa’s energy transition by building scalable renewable energy portfolios and deepening secondary markets for infrastructure assets. He is particularly interested in how investment platforms, capital recycling and disciplined risk management can transform individual projects into diversified, investable portfolios. His work supports the mobilisation of long-term capital into operational renewable energy assets while releasing development capital for new projects and accelerating the deployment of sustainable energy infrastructure across the continent.
