Theron Moonsamy is a Manager at The Carbon Trust. He boasts over a decade of experience as both an engineer and a sustainability consultant holding qualifications in Chemical Engineering (Honours), Environmental Engineering (MEng) and Business Strategy Management. His background includes engineering, mining, green technology and sustainability consulting. His experience with both sides of the sustainability debate – fossil fuel-led industries to low-carbon economies, positions him to share unique perspectives that ensure compliance with ESG frameworks without sacrificing the bottom line. Theron specialises in green hydrogen economics and project development, carbon accounting, decarbonisation strategies, value chain engagement, as well as financial modelling and reporting. At the Carbon Trust he supports a portfolio of corporate clients within the mining and metals sector. He is also passionate about engaging in commentary and context to public sector plans, policies and legislation, lending his expertise to drive value chain decarbonisation and hard-to-decarbonise sector transformation.
