Nandu Bhula

Nandu is an executive leader and energy sector expert with over 30 years’ experience. He has held leadership roles in gas, fossil and renewables technologies. After a fulfilling career in Eskom, he moved into the exciting landscape of independent power producers with Acwa and led development and construction of two utility-scale CSP plants as CEO. He is now focused on building on this platform in the role as Country General Manager for Acwa, covering not only power but also desalination and green hydrogen opportunities in South Africa. Nandu has a BSc and MSc in mechanical engineering and an MBA majoring in entrepreneurship and finance. He is a registered Professional Engineer, a Fellow of the South African Mechanical Engineering Institute and has a Government Certificate of Competency (Mechanical Factories) awarded by the South African Department of Labour.
