Jason De Carteret

Jason De Carteret leads Solarcentury Africa (SCA) with over 35 years of experience across the African continent. Under his leadership, SCA has become a vertically integrated energy solutions provider that designs, develops, delivers, maintains and trades energy assets, not only across Africa but globally. Before joining Solarcentury Africa, Jason worked with a leading emergency thermal power provider on major projects across EMEA and now has gained over 13 years of hands-on energy sector expertise. Recognising the growing importance of renewables, he joined Solarcentury which was a technology-agnostic company and had delivered numerous solar PV and battery storage projects.  SCA took the charge in Africa and has since completed projects in some challenging regions, including Kenya, DRC. Eritrea, Nigeria, Mozambique, Zambia, to name but a few. Combining a deep understanding of both thermal and renewable technologies with strong insight into the mining industry, Jason brings a strategic and commercially-driven approach to energy project delivery. His leadership continues to drive innovative solutions that enhance reliability, reduce costs and accelerate the energy transition for industrial and national clients alike.
