Designation: Associate, The Carbon Trust

Azminah is a project development specialist in the renewables and environment industry. As an energy access specialist, she leads on the e-mobility sector, with an emphasis on supporting new e-mobility business models. Through the Powering Renewable Energy Opportunities (PREO) Programme, Azminah has assisted with supporting several Productive Uses of Renewable Energy (PURE) initiatives that stimulate partnerships and innovation in sub-Saharan Africa and Pacific Island countries. She works closely with government, organisations and corporates to accelerate their decarbonisation efforts. Her expertise includes e-mobility, energy access, renewable energy technology, programme management, research and analysis, carbon footprinting (Scope 1, 2 and 3) and climate-related risks and opportunities analysis. Prior to Carbon Trust, Azminah worked as a project developer for large-scale solar farms in South Africa. She holds a MSc in Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management from the University of York and a BSc Honours in Geography from the University of the Witwatersrand.
